Per order of the CAARA clubs Constitution The Cape Ann Amateur Radio Association held its yearly Annual meeting of the membership on Wednesday September 14th at 7:30 PM at the CAARA clubhouse on 6 Stanwood Street in Gloucester, Mass.

There were 21 members in attendance thus a quorum was reached and CAARA President Stan Stone W4HIX called the meeting to order.

The first order of business was a power point "State of The Club" address by club President Stan Stone W4HIX. In general the state of the club was very good and very active. Stan reviewed the clubs accomplishments for the year and set out goals for the club for the following year.

The second order of business was the yearly accounting report from CAARA club Treasurer Hank McCarl,W4RIG. Hank stated that the general financial status of the club was very good. The Board of Directors previously set up and voted on a budget for the upcoming year in an earlier meeting and Hank presented the budget updates for 2011 and then presented the budget for the upcoming year to the membership. After some discussion a vote to approve the budget for 2012 was motioned by the membership. The 2012 budget passed with 21 votes.

The third order of business was the election of new Officers and Directors per order of the clubs Constitution. Club Officers Treasurer Hank McCarl W4HIX and clerk Dean Burgess KB1PGH`s terms were voted on and approved by the membership by 21 votes for another 2 year extension. The membership then nominated Joseph Perry KB1VQF and Paul Anderson KA1GIJ for 2 year terms as new directors on the Board. A vote was taken and both Joe and Paul were elected into the CAARA Board of Directors by 21 votes.

The Board then asked the membership if anyone had any club business to discuss and there was no business. The membership did not call for a Constitutional Convention so no changes were made to the CAARA Constitution on this date.

The Board of Directors would like to thank the following members whose have recently served on the Board and whose terms expired at this meeting. Without their help and dedication the club would not be where it is today. Dick Copithorne KR1G, Jim Mondello W1DDX, Bill Poulin WZ1L, and Ruth Hodsdon WW1N and Briggs Longbothum AB2NJ (SK).
