Per order of the CAARA clubs Constitution The Cape Ann Amateur Radio Association held its yearly Annual meeting of the membership on Wednesday September 14th at 7:30 PM at the CAARA clubhouse on 6 Stanwood Street in Gloucester, Mass.
The Cape Ann Amateur Radio Association held its Annual meeting on Wednesday September 12, 2012 at 7:30 PM at the clubhouse on 6 Stanwood Street. There were 15 members in attendance. The first order of business was a State of the club address by club President Stan Stone W4HIX to the membership.
The following list contains the topics that were discussed: CAARA mission Statement, club activities for 2012, club accomplishments, CAARA Scholarship program, ARRL Special Service club, Tech in a day and Field Day activities ,Gloucester Emergency Operations Center, The New Emcomm Trailer, The building lease, the second floor project, call for volunteers and committees, Operating and Social Events, The club's repeaters and CAARA Challenges for next year.
The next order of business was the yearly Treasurers Report from club Treasurer Hank McCarl W4RIG. Hank presented the Year to date Budget Performance Financial Report, the Expenses and Account Balances report and the Scholarship Account Report. Hank reported that he was going to move the CD account due to low interest rate. He stated that the clubs finances are in pretty good shape.
The last order of business was the yearly elections and the following new Officers and Directors were elected to new two year terms, a complete list of Officers and Directors can be found at caara.net.
